Shimano Vanquish FC 1000SSS PG

Shimano Vanquish FC – the lightest Shimano reel, 2023 model, is the ultimate embodiment of Shimano’s Magnumlite philosophy. Engineered with precise Japanese craftsmanship, it is designed for anglers who demand the highest quality for themselves and their gear. Its sensitivity and smoothness make it perfect for ultra-light fishing targeting perch, trout, and zander, but the Vanquish can also be used for various techniques and species, including larger 4000 and 5000 models for saltwater applications. The Vanquish helps you get the very best from your fishing. The first thing you notice is the reel’s weight—or rather, the lack of it. The 1000-size reel weighs only 140 g, an incredibly light feel that you immediately notice.

The Vanquish sets a new standard of quality in UL fishing. Shimano went Beyond Lightness to create the ultimate light line winding mechanism with unparalleled performance. This top-of-the-line ultra-light reel incorporates numerous Shimano technologies, many derived from the STELLA series. Its lightness comes from extensive use of Shimano’s exclusive CI4+ composite material, enhanced by the Magnumlite rotor, which also contributes to extremely low starting inertia when winding. This low starting inertia is especially important for delicate and UL fishing techniques, allowing unprecedented casting accuracy. Shimano has minimized free play in every component, further enhancing the reel’s precision.

Another major advantage is the addition of InfinityDrive, which ensures powerful yet smooth rotation even under heavy loads. In extreme situations, you can maintain consistent winding pressure, which is especially helpful when fighting larger fish. The InfinityLoop system also significantly improves casting distance.

Features:
11+1 sealed high-quality Shimano bearings with extra protection
Cold-forged aluminum spool, stronger than cast aluminum spools
Longer-lasting gear performance thanks to two bearings around the pinion gear
Second-generation worm gear line lay system, moving at two different speeds for precise line lay
Patented spool lip angle for reduced line tangles and longer casts
Stronger metal body, one of the key factors for reel durability
One-piece line roller for smooth line retrieval with no tangles or unnecessary wear
Magnesium construction, the strongest and lightest material used in reel design
Optimized asymmetrical rotor shape, reducing rotational inertia by 14% and delivering the smoothest reel action
Best Shimano protection against water ingress in the reel body, drag, and line roller: X-Protect lets seven times less water in than CoreProtect technology
